Friends of Springwood

Welcome to Friends of Springwood!

As your child is a pupil of Springwood Primary School, we would like to invite you to become a member of our Friends of Springwood…your voice counts!

We are a friendly group who organise events to raise money for educational and fun purposes for our children. Being active in FOS can be rewarding and fun, whilst at the same time raising vital funds for our children. There are a variety of small ways you can help and be involved from designing a poster, helping clear up after an event, making tea and coffee, baking cakes, helping out on a stall and contacting suppliers for donations.

It is totally flexible.  Giving up just 30 minutes of your time to help FOS is invaluable.  If everyone could spare 30 minutes a term to come and join one of our meetings to help discuss new ideas of raising funds and making a difference, just think what we could achieve! If you are unable to attend meetings you can use our contact details above to send in ideas as an agenda item ready for discussion.  Every FOS meeting is an opportunity to meet other parents.

There is no better way to know what events are being planned, have your say or make a new fundraising suggestions, than by offering your help and support. We are not just for Mums! It is important to us all to have Dads, Grandparents, Carers and Friends to come along and make a difference.  So come along to suggest NEW fun ways to raise funds.

We have meetings every half term during the school day, this is so you are able to attend without the worry of childcare.  If you would like to consider the role of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer or just finding out more about the group, please come along to our AGM Thursday 10th May 1:30pm at Swinton to see what it’s all about!

Thank you for taking time to read this letter, we look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at our next meeting.

Everyone is welcome - just turn up.
