Welcome to Springwood Primary School and to our website. Springwood serves the whole of the City of Salford and provides specialist education for pupils aged 2 to 11 years all of whom have profound, complex and challenging needs.
We hope that you will find the information valuable and that it gives you an insight into the work of our school and the achievements of all our pupils.
We aim to provide the very best learning opportunities for all our pupils and create an ethos of learning through enjoyment.
MacMillan Coffee / Cake Morning
Thank you to all pupils, parents and staff for supporting our Coffee Morning. We raised £526.43, which is a fantastic amount.

Red Nose Day 2015
Thank you to all who supported our activities on Red Nose Day. We have raised £373.47 which is being doubled by the UK Government. The funds are going to help get children across Africa into school and learning.
OFFICIAL OPENING OF NEW SOFT PLAY ROOM
Our Soft Play room has now been refurbished and was official opened on 27 June.
We would wish to extend our thanks to the Wooden Spoon Charity for their donation of £5,000 and for Neil Briggs of Sale Sharks for cutting the ribbon.
Summer Fair - 27 June 2015
Thank you for all your support, we raised £1789.53.
Easter Bonnet Parade
Many thanks to K3, Americhem and Morrisons for supporting our Easter Activities by donating Easter Eggs and funding sensory toy prizes.
Also many thanks to David Kenny and John Higgins for donating our Easter Hamper Raffle prize, which raised £224 towards the refurbishment of our soft play room.
Family Games Night
Thank you to everyone, we raised £90.37.
Community Police Team Visit - 12 March 2015
Springwood was visited today by Constable Cub and our Local Community Police Team, together with officers from the Tactical Dog Unit who brought along Ruby, Max, Ziggy and Bobby and officers from the GMP Mounted Unit with Captain and Larking.
The Pupils had a fabulous time. Thank you to PCSO Joyce for organising the visit.
Parent Governor Election
Following the election for our new Parent Governor, we would like to welcome Anne Marie Anderton as our new Parent Governor.
Thank you to all who took the time to complete and return the ballot forms.
Christmas Light Switch On and Disco
Thankyou to everybody who attended 'The Christmas Light Switch On and Disco'. It was a huge success.
All the children enjoyed our special guest.

Children in Need
Today (11.11.14) School was visited by Austin and Daniel of Austin's Ices, with their Ice Creams vans, together with some of their colleagues.
They were raising money for Children in Need and were visiting schools in the Salford area distributing free ice cream to the pupils. This is the second year they have visited us.
As you can see from the photo the ice creams were enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Daniel, Austin and their colleagues.
Each class has contributed to the display by creating their own poppies.

Sensory Studio opening
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the opening of new Sensory Studio.
Friends of Springwood Events
Friends of Springwood - We will be holding our next meeting on 3 June 2015 commencing at 5:45pm. All parents / carers are welcome to come to the meeting to discuss fundraising ideas. We hope you are able to come along.

K3syspro cycle challenge
Americhem Bike Ride
Our friends at Americhem have nominated Springwood as their charity for 2013. Their wonderful staff completed their Charity Bike Ride, cycling 100 miles from Eccles to Southport and back again. on the 25th and 26th of July 2013
