At Springwood, we are passionate about learning, and recognise that children learn in a variety of places. As part of this we have our outdoor learning spaces, both at Craig Hall, where we have our Woodland Area, and at Swinton where we have our Forest Schools area and field.

We have several members of staff who lead on outdoor learning, who work with all of our classes to ensure that children get the most out of the opportunities offered.

 As part of this, we plant our own fruit and vegetables, and then the children get to eat what they have grown. Recently we grew our own Apples, Strawberries, Potatoes and Lettuce, as you can see in the pictures below.
